Hailing from Saskatchewan, Eseroghene Omene is a graduate of the University of Regina majoring in Finance and Economics. As a varsity athlete, Ese was a prominent member of the U of R Women’s Track and Field program. Graduating with 3 school records, and with 5 appearances at Canadian Nationals, Ese both inspired and led her teammates. She continued to train at an international level for 7 years post grad. Over her 13 year athletic career, Ese was a proud member a Canada’s 4x400m relay and was an Olympic Trials finalist in 2012.
Now retired, she has continued her involvement in sport as a NCCP Level 2 Sprints and Hurdles coach at the University of Toronto. Her career as an athlete has given her a strong background in injury management and prevention, as well athlete identification and development. Ese’s dedication to her athletes and her teammates both on the track and now at Omega is inspiring. Her vast knowledge base combined with her compassionate and driven nature makes her an amazing choice to lead our team at Omega North York.
