Our Philosophy

At Omega Health + Fitness we believe in integrative medicine. We believe that movement is medicine. Our team of chiropractors, physiotherapists, and fitness coaches will devise a game plan to address all of your physical fitness needs. At some point each player on our team will play a role, whether directly or indirectly, in your journey to optimal health and function.

At Omega the role of our chiropractors is to evaluate the structural integrity of your nerves, muscles, and joints. We address posture and alignment to improve the body’s function as a whole. When necessary, we refer our patients within our network of specialists, or for diagnostic imaging such as x-ray, ultrasound, and MRI . Our chiropractors accelerate the healing process by using various techniques including soft tissue massage, adjustments, Graston, ART, acupuncture, and electric stimulation.


As a crucial team member of Omega, our physiotherapists are responsible for improving the function of the affected/injured area. Our physiotherapist use objective measures to monitor your improvement. If you consider that our chiropractors fix your “parts”, then our physiotherapist teach you how to use these “parts”, through carefully designed exercise protocols to improve body awareness. Having proper functioning “parts” or tissues allows for better performance.

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine is a holistic approach to health that integrates modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. At Omega, we use Naturopathic Medicine to decrease healing time, correct biochemical imbalance, and treat systemic dysfunction. Our Naturopath also specializes in Clinical nutrition, the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. Depending on each individual case, special diets, along with vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutraceuticals may be recommended to restore balance in any unbalanced state.

Strength and Conditioning

In your treatment and fitness plan, once you graduate from passive care, you move on to active rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises. Our strength coaches take you even further to round out your complete health and performance prescription. They motivate and give you the tools necessary to reach your ultimate goals. We know every body is different, and with our comprehensive initial evaluation and regular re-assessments we’ll get you on track and keep you on track!
To address all components of your physical fitness (endurance, strength, power, stability, speed, flexibility, stamina, agility) we utilize proven tools and training techniques such as kettlebells, suspension training, ropes, plyometrics, and bodyweight conditioning. All the while, our attention is on form and technique, to keep you injury-free while we strive for balanced physical conditioning and improved body composition.

Contemporary Medical Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles, and sometimes applying electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.
At Omega and across the world, acupuncture is practiced widely in treatment of various conditions, to promote healing, and in the prevention of illness. We used Acupuncture in conjunction with many other types of treatments such as Chiropractic and Physiotherapy, to achieve optimal results, and to speed recovery from athletic pursuits.

Registered Massage Therapy

Our Massage Therapy team at Omega is another key piece to the puzzle to getting you closer to your best, pain-free self. Massage Therapy is the assessment and manipulation of the soft tissues of the body in order to help maintain or improve physical function as well as to relieve pain and promote a sense of relaxation and overall well-being. Massage Therapy can help with a wide range of conditions including sports injuries, muscle tension, repetitive strain injuries, stress, headaches, whiplash, pregnancy, back & neck pain, arthritis, and many more. Massage Therapy benefits people of all ages and has firmly established its role as a clinically oriented health care option. Massage Therapy plays an integral part of most patients’ overall treatment plan at Omega as an approach to improve flexibility and alleviate muscle tension.

Fascial Stretch Therapy

Fascial Stretch Therapy is a pain-free method of assisted stretching that we use to help improve flexibility and accelerate recovery. Unlike traditional stretching which attempts to isolate and stretch specific muscles, FST dramatically improves muscle activation, flexibility and relaxation by decompressing your joints and unwinding the connective tissue, or fascial web, that envelops all structures of the body and connects them together.

Sport Science

Athlete Assessment (Individual & Team)

Assessments are an important aspect in improving sports performance for the following reasons:
1 An athlete profile can be generated through initial testing, which provides baseline performance measures, and also identifies an athlete’s weaknesses when compared to normative data and/or in comparison to the rest of the team.
Athlete profiles are very useful to coaches during both team selection and talent identification.
2 Results of the assessment will guide strength and conditioning; the Omega program has been designed to address weaknesses or areas where movement patterns can be improved to reduce likelihood of injury.
3 When performed at regular intervals the Omega athlete assessment helps to monitor the progress of the athlete and give concrete, objective data regarding the effectiveness of the program with respect to its goals, appropriate speed of progression, and the athlete’s adaptation.
4 Testing & monitoring benefits the athlete directly, educating them about the biomotor abilities important to their sport, and motivating them to improve these abilities, especially when their testing results are compared with those of their peers.

Concussion Testing

A concussion is an injury to the brain which can have lasting consequences not just in sport but lifelong. Sport science has improved the ability to detect when a concussion has occurred, thereby improving the management of the athlete and their safe return to sport.
At Omega, sports scientists work with clinicians to conduct a thorough pre-season assessment that will test critical thinking, balance, and cognitive ability. Should a concussion be suspected, the information gathered will be critical in monitoring and future re-assessments, and guide a personalized post-concussion rehabilitation program. When the athlete is symptom free, he/she will be cleared by the supervising sports Chiropractor and Certified Athletic Therapist, and allowed to return to sport. Many coaches and parents are now wisely opting for full pre-season assessments on a seasonal basis to pro-actively minimize risk and allow for safer participation in sport.

Strength and Conditioning Program

In sport, many components of fitness are required to perform at a peak level, including strength, power, speed, agility and conditioning to name a few. At Omega we understand that every sport is different and will design your strength and conditioning program based on a Needs Analysis of your sport and the latest in sports science research. Your sport specific program will follow a periodized plan that will prevent overtraining while allowing you to peak and perform at the highest level for your best season or competition to date.

On-Site Care

Many teams choose to have an Omega Certified Athletic Therapist, trainer, or Sports Chiropractor present at games and practices to provide on site care. Services include pre-game treatment and taping techniques, muscle activation and assisted warm up, injury recognition and treatment during competition, as well as post-game recovery techniques. All of the above add an element of safety and increased performance and recovery for any sport.
